Biographical notes
John Norton Oxley (1824-1891) was born at 'Kirkham, Camden, NSW, son of explorer John Oxley and his wife Emma, nee Norton. He was educated at The King's School, Parramatta. Henry Molesworth Oxley was elected a member of the NSW Legislative Assembly for the seat of Camden (1859-1860).
