Biographical notes

Bradley Ronald Hazzard (1951- ), solicitor and parliamentarian, was educated at Manly Boys' High School, Macquarie University where he graduated Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education, the University of New South Wales where he graduated Bachelor of Laws, and the University of Sydney where he graduated Master of Laws. He was a school teacher (1974-1977) before being admitted as a solicitor in 1977. He has been partner in a law firm at Manly since 1981.

Hazzard was pre-selected as Liberal Party candidate for the NSW State seat of Wakehurst in April 1991 ahead of the sitting Liberal Party member John Booth. He was elected to NSW Legislative Assembly in May 1991. He has held various shadow portfolios including Corrective and Emergency Services, Environment, Aboriginal Affairs, Sport and Recreation, Housing, Disability Services and Ageing, and Community Services. Since 1995 Hazzard has been Chairman of the Joint Standing Committee upon Road Safety (Staysafe).
